The WACA Project is pleased to hand over two new DJI Phantom 4 RTK drones to the Department of Physical Planning and Housing under the Ministry of Lands. The drones were procured by the WACA Project and handed over by the Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources, Hon. Rohey John Manjang, to the Minister of Lands, Regional Government and Religious Affairs, Hon. Hamat Bah.
The drones are meant to support the Department of Physical Planning and Housing to effectively and efficiently plan and monitor development, detect encroachments, and enforce regulations. They use advanced positioning technology, take very clear aerial images, and process data quickly, allowing them to produce highly accurate maps and information, down to a few centimetres on the ground.
WACA continues to invest in strengthening public institutions with the tools and capacity needed to advance sustainable development.
